 Harbaugh Scholarships are awarded to high school graduates and students enrolled at a four-year institution and to students enrolled at a one or two-year institution of high learning beyond the 12th grade level. No awards will be given for work beyong the Bachelor's degree level. Applicants must be residents of Mitchell County or have graduated from a Mitchell County high school.

Please submit a short, typewritten narrative no longer than two pages in length, double-spaced. This narrative should be carefully and thoughtfully written as the scholarship committee will only see this narrative. Do not include any identification in this narrative. Include the following information in this narrative:

1. Describe how you plan to use the scholarship funds including information on the school and education program you are enrolled in for next year.
2. Explain why you should be considered for this scholarship.
3. Explain your specific need for this scholarship.
4. Describe your goals for completing your education.
5. Describe your career goals and objectives.
6. Include your school and community activities, work experience and GPA. Do not attach a resume. Include all information in this narrative.

Current Official Transcript: Include your official, complete transcript (with your name removed) from the high school or college you attended this past year. Transcripts MUST include grades from the Spring 2026 semester. 

The application must be submitted on or before 5:00 PM Monday, June 1, 2026. If applicant is having trouble submitting online then the application can be mailed or delivered to Unified School District No. 273 Endowment Association.
